Verizon Wireless today announced that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will go on sale Thursday, December 15 for $299.99 with new agreement. The Galaxy Nexus runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and can use Verizon’s Long Term Evolution 4G network.

Still no announcement from Verizon about the Galaxy Nexus launch, but the carrier did just post a virtual user’s guide for the for the phone. The new site was detected by Engadget and features an interactive mockup of the Galaxy Nexus that you can use to test its features.

Verizon Wireless has blocked Google Inc.’s (GOOG) mobile-payment system, Google Wallet, from the new Galaxy Nexus smartphone, according to media reports on Tuesday. Verizon Wireless, a joint venture between Verizon Communications Inc. (VZ) and British telecom giant Vodafone plc (VOD, VOD.L), is said to have cited security concerns in blocking Google Wallet.
