NEW YORK – The Board of Directors of Verizon Communications Inc. today declared a quarterly dividend of 48.75 cents per outstanding share, an increase of 1.25 cents per share, or 2.6 percent, from the previous quarter. On an annual basis, this increases Verizon’s dividend 5 cents per share, from $1.90 to $1.95 per share.

NEW YORK – The Board of Directors of Verizon Communications Inc. today declared a quarterly dividend of 47.5 cents per outstanding share, unchanged from the previous quarter. The dividend is payable on Aug. 2, 2010, to Verizon Communications shareowners of record at the close of business on July 9, 2010.

AMSTERDAM-The town Zoning Board of Appeals voted Wednesday to allow the public to submit opinions on new information submitted by Verizon Wireless on the need for a cell tower in a residential district. If the board hadn’t reopened the record, Wednesday night would have been the deadline to make a decision on the variance as it marked 60 days after the first public hearing.
